Will We Ever Be Ready?

8 Loads of laundry, 7 suitcases, 1 beach bag and 2 days of hard prep work. That's what it takes to get the Gold Family out the door and on their way to sunny San Diego!

It is finally here! After much planning and re-planning we are going on a fun filled vacation with the Lakey's! We are leaving tomorrow, (actually, today) around 2:00 and will not be back for nine days. This is a much anticipated trip by the young'ens. Especially Emma. Everywhere we go, she asks if we are going to the beach. Now I can tell her yes! That is if we can actually get out of the house. I keep thinking everything has been taken care of, and then I think of something else that has to be done. I just remembered that Gizzy,(our lizard) will need food while we are gone. I guess we should get him some.

I really tried hard this vacation to not procrastinate, and to make sure that I planned ahead and was organized about packing. I don't feel much different from when I wait until the last minute and just start shoving stuff in a bag. (Kind of like I did for scout camp earlier this week.)

So the question is, does it really matter how much planning you put into it, do you ever feel prepared when leaving for vacation? I just have to keep telling myself that we are not leaving for a third world country. If I forgot something, I can always buy it when we get there.
