Girl Scout Camp At Trefoil Ranch

We just returned from our third year at Girl Scout Camp. This is the second year we camped at Trefoil Ranch. Last year we went to Camp Cloud Rim. Both camps are a lot of fun.

The best part of camp this year was horseback riding. I have never really been on a horse that I can remember. I have to admit, I was a little scared. I was on the biggest horse at the ranch, a retired race horse named Fisban. Zoe loved it also. She was on a horse named Rusty. All of the girls really enjoyed the time we spent at the stables.

We did have to sleep in big platform tents outside. These tents don't close all the way, so you have little critters that can visit you all night long. If you are not an outdoor lover this can be a little nerve wracking, and keep you up at night. Last night Julie heard a deer run through our camp site.

We did have a good time, but I have to admit, I am glad that we are home, and that I can take a shower and Zoe can brush her teeth!(She left her tooth brush at home) I thought our girls would be sad that would not be returning to Girl Scouts next year, but they all seem o.k. with it.
