Our Fun-Filled Trip to SAN DIEGO

Friday, July 25,2008 Two families,the Lakey's and us, twelve people in all packed up and headed to San Diego. It was a much anticipated trip, and it had finally arrived. Kevin brought along two-way radios to make sure we were always connected on our journey. We spent our first night in Primm, Nevada. We were a little bummed when we got there because the pool was closed even though it was only 8:00. The next morning we rode the monorail over to McDonald's before finishing our drive to sunny San Diego.
We arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon. Eve and Kevin did a wonderful job finding us the most perfect condo right on Pacific Beach. It was called Capri by the Sea. It must have been recently renovated because it was very nice. We spent a few lazy days on the beach throughout the week. We spent one day at the San Diego Zoo, one at Sea World and one at the Wild Animal Park. We had such a good time. Hayden and Sherman babysat the little kids two different nights so the four of us could go out. One night we went to Eve and Tony's favorite Mexican restraunt, El Torito. The second night we went out we had Mexican again, in Old Town. I can't remember the name of it, but it was tastey. That night we did some shopping around Old Town. We all had such a good time. The kids all got along so well, and they loved the beach so much! We spent our last night in San Diego at the beautiful Omni Hotel Downtown. Another perfect choice by Kevin, and then at the Casarina right off the Strip in Las Vegas the last night of the trip. This was the best vacation. My kids keep asking when we are going back. I hope it's not too long.
